Value of our company and why

During our presentation with the investors, we asked for a $18,000 investment for a 20% stake which specifically estimates our company at 90,000. We calculated this number by dividing 18,000 by .20%. Also, this value is determined by a bit of art. We based our company off the value of 90,000 by searching the market for competitors and researching our competitors products. For the first year, our company will take in a total of $129,558. the money we will receive from the investors will go towards everyday little expenses and some major expenses such as refiling inventory and some advertisement.

Future Social Media Tactics

Due to Tracker Pro's previously weak advertisement approach, we now are going to use different methods. For twitter, we start using trending hash tags to find and reel in potential customers. These hash tags will also include key features about our product. we will also be making conversations on twitter and Facebook to create connection with our customers. Using promoted tweets, our product will be seen through out the twitter community. Everyday, millions of viewers visit you tube therefore an advertisement will be an essential part of our campaign. All in all, there are many different ways Tracker Pro will use to help improve how well known our product is. By using hash tags and promoted tweets twitter users will be able to see our advertisements in their timelines on their profile. From that point they would see our hash tags used and be able to click on a link to learn more about our product. This will increase the knowledge of our product ad get the word out about how good our product really is.

Lack of Social Media Strategy

One big negative about tracker pro, is that we lack followers on social media. On our Facebook page, we have minimal friends and on twitter, minimal followers. To accomplish the goals we would want to, we would need a large audience base on our social media sites, especially twitter. A good thing to know is that we are not alone. On a survey found on Harvard Business Review, 43% of business's surveyed found their social media websites as ineffective. With only 12% of businesses finding that their social media websites are effective. The reason why most companies social media sites are ineffective is due to the amount of supporters or customers they have. For a business like tracker pro with such a small audience, getting known through social media can be difficult. On twitter, to gain popularity we are going to start using hash tags related to popular topics therefore many people can see our product. Overall, our group will be using social media more effectively due to different approaches we researched.

Other Strategies Used in Industry

There are a lot of different strategies used by companies in order to reach out to their audiences. A lot of them use technological advantages to speak to their audience and become involved to get the name of their brand out. A perfect example of a company facing the challenge of getting their name out is the company Double Dutch. Double Dutch was facing the challenge to reach the right audience to increase awareness of its mobile event applications and generate leads. To solve this problem they decided to use Twitter in which they used promoted tweets with keyword, @handle and interest targeting to listen, engage and develop relationships with industry influences and potential clients over two quarters. By doing this and participating in real time conversations with their audiences the company faced great success. 66% of all of the company's advertising leads came from Twitter which led them to 349% ROI in six months. This is a good example for us because this is the exact problem that we are having with our company. We have a great product but our problem is we cannot get our name out so this company gives us a great idea of how we could approach the solution to our problem.

Executive Summery

Our goal is to prevent you from ever losing valuables again by using a small yet effective tracking device.Tracker Pro intends to keep a presence in the local community while continuing to expand into the national and eventually, global community.  We want to ensure that our customers constantly have the peace of mind that their valuables will never be lost again. We plan to do this by continuing to create innovative, convenient, and reliable trackers that will become of routine use in our customers’ lives. The majority of our consumer base will include a variety of ages especially teens or college students. Eventually, we want our product to be mass produced and sold everywhere. Our product has potential to be an everyday product in every household.

Tracker Pro is a new start-up company founded by four entrepreneurs who were inspired to collaborate on a revolutionary way to track valuables through your smartphone after realizing how frequently people lose essential items such as their wallets  and/or car keys. Tracker Pro has four employees, Shiv Patel (CEO), Owen Hainse (CFO), Nick DiBiasio (CMO), and Maddie Eustis (CRO). Although our company is currently small, we hope to expand with the expected success of our sales.

Based on our primary and secondary research, it is clear that there is a high demand for trackers. More specifically, 70%, about 87 people of the 125 surveyed, answered that they both possessed a smartphone and have lost their valuables. Hence, this survey sample demonstrates that there is potentially an extremely large target audience that is in need of Tracker Pro trackers. Although our surveys show that there is a large amount of consumers, there is lots of competition within our industry. Our trackers will compete with lots of other electronic tracking devices on the market. However, after the secondary research, it is evident that our trackers possess a competitive advantage.
